Now I’m just playing around with that last post. I’m not a fool and I am a huge fan of the game. Impossible not to appreciate what Brady and belichik have been able to accomplish together. Greatest coach qb duo of all time. And I have absolutely no reason to be salty. I live for the conversation. Shame this thread went to the side collections section to die. This could be a big video for Scott.
Actually some really well known physicists proved deflategate never occured. They brought balls from a room temperature locker room out into the freezing cold and they lost pressure.
That’s absolutely ridiculous. Dont be a Brady apologist. Remember the press conferences, bill just looked happy to legitimately not be aware of any of it for once. Brady also had his two ball boys disappeared. Try to find them. You cant.
amp.si.com/nfl/2016/10/04/tom-brady-deflategate-ideal-gas-law I don’t see how saying science disagrees with you is ridiculous. Its pretty well known now. There’s been games since where the ball’s PSI dropped even more than in Brady’s incident. When you take a ball from room temperature and expose it to extreme cold its PSI will drop. What happened with Brady was the people who originally measured the balls were incompetent and guessed about just how much the PSI had dropped.
I think you’re missing that Brady’s mystique is about is legacy. Every athlete on the planet gets worse as they get older. A legend is a legend because of their career not a snapshot of one season. People will remember him for his late draft pick, taking over for drew when he got hurt and putting the team on his back (with the help of a killer defense with ty law and teddy brusci), his perfect season squandered in the super bowl vs the giants, being the first person to throw for 50 touchdowns in a season, his SB51 comeback drive, etc. He could throw 30 picks next year and he’d still be the goat. His memorabilia will reflect that.
Whoa. Im kidding. I cherry picked those stats obviously. Hes trended similar for last 5 years plus. Top tier. 2017 was a great year for him. I was having a little fun. I’m not missing anything with Brady. Upset we chose to throw the ball instead of rushing it 2 fkn yards by a guy who was averaging 5 yards a carry with 5 or 6 guys hanging off of him in that game.
lmao sorry I didn’t pick up on the sarcasm. Im not even a pats fan but I decided to get some signed memorabilia because when he retires I expect a huge spike.
This reminds me of one of my most painful losses.
Being a Los Angeles native and in my mid teens, I loved a USC running back named OJ Simpson. I ended up going to their cross town rival UCLA but I still loved him and rat holed tons of his cards including many rookies. For the time I paid a whole lot f money for them and kept spending for years.
In the mid 1990s he allegedly killed two people with one being his wife. He got off but everyone knew he was guilty.
Anyway, all those valuable cards turned into toilet paper. What a loss.
Just so Charizard doesn’t do something silly like melt the polar ice cap, I’ll be okay;)
Juice that went rotten. That’s quite a story. I dont think any other event could have had such a negative effect on a collectible as yours did. I think that’s also around the time that Ford stopped selling Broncos too…
Lol. I dont think you’re safe with charizard not melting the polar ice caps though.
I saw that episode of pawn stars. Didnt think Rick would acquire it.
Silly thread. Jordan and Brady are the greatest to play their respective sports, without question. This comes from a lifelong Knicks and Giants fan, not some homer. The card value is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for the goats
I generally loathe the evil empire that is the Patriots, but Brady has had some pretty spectacular showings with a mediocre (and often injury prone) receiving corps and less than average running game. Rodgers has had some pretty talented supporting casts over the years. They are both top-notch QB’s . . . coming from a Vikings fan (despite the repetitive heartaches).
