Hi guys. Just wanted to check the validity of this box. Bought this for 800 bucks a long time ago. At the time booster boxes were going for around 1k, so it was too good a deal to pass on. The booster box seems to check out as legit, but it is odd that the logos are on the bottom of the box also. I think I recall TCA saying once upon a time that this was an uncommon variant from Canada, but I wanted to make sure with a public verification. I know Base Set was printed to oblivion, so there are a lot of variants. It’s a nice collection piece so I hope it all checks out.
Well howdy doody. I figured something like that. The funny thing is that all I really wanted was a sealed base box… The fact that it is a variant is really irrelevant to me personally. Still pretty cool though! Thanks for the input.
As Boble said, it may contain 1999-2000 cards, but most likely just the non-holos. It’s a pretty rare variant and definitely more desirable than a regular Base unl. box.
Everything looks ok to me too from the photos. Good looking box!
