Hi guys,
I recently got into sealed product collecting, and have been buying booster boxes off eBay and having them delivered to the my PWCC vault. Today this turned up:

As you can see, there is a flap of torn seal at the bottom.
Should I return it? I don’t want to be an annoying buyer, and I can see arguments either way. On one hand, the seal is broken, but on the other hand, I don’t think it’s possible to get to the packs from there.
So I guess I’m after a general idea of people’s opinion on this. No wish-washy “whatever you’re comfortable with” stuff. Let’s fast forward 20 years, I’m getting older and want to sell off some of my collection, you’ve been looking for an unbroken bonds booster box for a while, and this one comes up. Pass or buy?
Was it shown in the picture or did the description mention anything about not being mint?
Yes: Suck it up
No: It’s not exactly a vintage item but it’s not new and still at RRP either, I would contact the seller about returning it or getting a partial refund if your plan is to keep it long-term sealed.
As a seller I would accept my mistake if it wasn’t shown in the picture/description and would either offer a return or 10% partial refund (10% because it looks like a minor defect tbh)
Looks like you got a Broken Bonds Booster Box

Good that you can still laugh about it. Some people get so dramatic.
Sounds like you want to keep it long term. I wouldn’t keep it. There are plenty of other boxes that can be bought easily right now. No need to settle for a damaged one.

depends how the seller listed the item, but you should probably let them know what condition you are looking for beforehand. some sellers just use stock images for new products because they just assume that they are going to be opened.
Having a tear like that in the seal significantly reduces the value imo (seeing as how you want to save it for 20 years in the future). If you never intend on opening it and you want it to be mint condition then I would return it.
Not really imo, beat up WOTC boxes dont go much cheaper than decent looking ones

@admiral I guess it’s just personal preference then. I think ripped seals look tacky
Sure, but a high % of the value of boxes comes from knowing there are unweighed and unmapped packs in them, which a small seal break doesnt affect.
I think they look icky too

Thanks for your honest opinions guys. I really appreciate it. The seller has accepted the return and I’m sure someone who just wants to open packs will enjoy it more than me.

Gotta factor in the cost for the PWCC vault as well, I think it’s $25 for the intake of booster boxes now
Yeah minimum $25 for boxes, but shipping to Australia usually costs more, so
Is the PWCC vault just to keep items safe or does it have extra benefits?
