i posted a gif of one of my altered pokemon cards in the discord server and people seemed to like it so ive decided to make a thread to share upcoming alters. im not going to post all my past alters because there is just so many and will take up so much space hah. now my collection aint a collection of super rare cards or nothing, i work with what i have to create a interesting and unique collection, i guess you could call it a ‘budget’ collection haha hope you like them.
todays altered card is an infernape. im going to start to sell some of my cards to hopefully get enough to buy better paints because at the moment theyre useless haha. but yea there will be better cards in the future
heres the 5 latest pokemon alters i have painted. ive been reading through the sour grapes threads and noticed people dont like custom cards, i hope mine are not a problem, i try to make them unique. if they are just let me know and ill change things up a bit
I think people mostly dislike the counterfeits people make that are very close to the original but get marketed as “custom”.
Nice alterations btw, really digging the Salamence.
The problem is people printing their own cards or making almost identical replicas of already existing cards.
If you have a legit card and you paint over a portion to make it full art or whatever you like that’s ok and is just an alter. IMO you should still be able to identify the original card underneath when altering.
