Blocked eBay user purchased cards

Guys, I got an issue.
Few weeks ago I posted here as well about a buyer wanting to cancel all the cards she purchased. I blocked her right after it to prevent it from happening in the future.

I thought I maybe made a mistake, but no her name is listed in the blocked user list on eBay.
The purchase shows up on PayPal, but nothing on eBay.

What can and what should I do?

Probably call eBay? I’ve had similar issues with the block feature and I think it’s just broken. I reported that a few months back, but eBay doesn’t care. (I got messages from a blocked buyer like 3 weeks ago, despite having them on my block list for well over 4 months now)

Best you can do is call ebay and hope you get someone competent to help.

There is no known telephone number to be found for eBay in the Netherlands. Everything is being routed straight into an e-mail form.

There is non. eBay.nl is really primitive and since they acquired Marktplaats 10 years ago the whole eBay website is behind on every other version in Europe. e.g. eBay NL doesn’t feature ‘Best Offer’ option, missing a ton of categories and still references TNT Post as the Dutch Postal, while this has been changed to PostNL in 2011.

I gonna try hooking into their .com live chat. Maybe they can help out.

I called PayPal, since getting hold of eBay on short notice is just impossible unless I go support in the US or UK, which will most likely send me back to the local eBay support. I explained the situation and the helpful guy on the other end of the line cancelled the payment.

So all I gotta do now is to wait for a reply by eBay to fix and sort out this thing that a blocked user can still purchase from me and pay me, without the sale showing up in my My eBay.

I got word back from eBay. Their Facebook page is a very nice way to get in contact directly with one of their support members, although the time difference slows it down. They investigated and confirmed that the blocked user did indeed purchased while it shouldn’t be possible in the first place, since my block list is in order. Funny enough, they don’t know how this has happened so no permanent solution.

It’s really odd how much ebay varies from country to country. Even between .ca and .com there are many major differences.

I understand certain areas are only a tiny fraction of their global revenue, but there’s no reason for their website to be subpar. No Best Offer? You have got to be kidding me. :unamused:
