Big Mistakes Throughout My Journey

So I’m gonna start this thread to just vent and document some of the boneheaded mistakes that I have made and that either caused me a FAT headache or even financially. Enjoy!

First story: I was just starting out in the hobby and I was still obsessed with Gold Stars and shinings. Me being too trusting and making decisions based on emotion rather than logic, I venmo’d someone $300 for a NM Registeel gold star and shining noctowl back in 2020. I never heard from that guy again, and at the time it made me want to quit because at the time I was so frustrated especially since I was just beginning.

This story is called shattered slabs.

So this is where I learned how to package better. I thought a long time ago that I could ship out my slabs wrapped in a plastic bag, bubble wrapped, and put in a bubble mailer, but sadly when I shipped it out, it shattered. I sold my pair of Shiny Rayquaza GX’s in PSA 10 and was absolutely devastated to take the loss because I loved the cards.
