BGS opens European on-site grading

Has anyone subbed to their EU hub yet?

Please share your thoughts and experiences.

I haven’t yet and honestly dealing with customs is starting to drag.

Excited to make my first sub when their standard tier opens.

Constantly having to educate UPS customs on EU shipping laws :man_mage:

I think this will be a really great opportunity for BGS, to be the first big 3 company to do grading actually in the EU.

I am still waiting to hear feedback from the first people who tried the service to decide whether to send cards to the new location or keep grading in USA.

The first batch of Beckett EU graded cards should be around the corner :face_with_monocle::face_with_monocle:

I sent in a sub about a month ago, received on Feb 4. No grades yet unfortunately, but I’ll let you know once I get the results!

Got the grades this morning! I sent in 22 Pikachu 001/sv-p promos, I got:
4 Black label 10s
14 Pristine 10s
4 9.5s

A while ago I sent 32 of the same promos to Beckett US, for those I got:
4 Black label 10s
22 Pristine 10s
6 9.5s

Pretty similar results. One interesting thing about the subgrades: from the US submission, 21 out of 22 pristines were held back from BL because of 9.5 centering. For the EU submission, only 1 of the pristines got 9.5 centering. I did of course pay extra attention to the centering after the US sub, but it’s still noteworthy I think.

Id call that a big fat W

Well done and thanks for the update!

What was your turnaround?

Ah Feb 4 until now. Damn that is quite fast. Was it economy?

Yep it was economy (or I guess it’s called Base now). Probably was fast because I was pretty early with my submission, I assume it’s gonna get a little slower over time

Hi, my local post company requires recipient email and phone number. Do you have those for Beckett EU?

Received by BGS Europe(Germany) februari 14.
Delivered to me(The Netherlands)
march 8.

Not pleased with the (secret) algorithm used by BGS for the Charizard in the final grade.

Hello, same question for you as above. Did you have the email and phone info or did you send without them? I suppose its different in Netherlands.

e-mail : grading@beckett.com
phone: 1-972-448-9188

Beckett will channel all calls or emails for Beckett Europe by the above.

But are those viable for information in shipping?

All information on shipping goes by Trusted Trading Card Grading - Beckett Europe and the account you registered on this site.

Got my cards back after about a month from BGS Germany. Good experience after all.

What plan/deal did you use (aka how many business days did they claim it would take?)

There is currently only the Base option available (so 45+ service days).

Base but I’ve heard it’s faster than estimate turnaround. Currently 1 month more or less.

Hell yeah. Glad to see Beckett delivering fast overseas at the very least.
