BGS now grades in Europe

Just got the info that BGS is now grading in Europe (Trusted Trading Card Grading - Beckett Europe). If anyone has details on the specific location etc., please share. If this is not new info, just delete.

I haven’t been keeping up with the recent BGS developments, but this move could make European collectors rethink their choice of grader. What do you think? As far as I know, CGC has a submission office in Europe but no actual grading facility. PSA has no offices in Europe.

They grade in Lage in Germany and took over the facility of Guard and Grading (formerly Cardmarket Grading). Some of their employees have also been taken over and were retrained by Beckett on their standards.

Shit location, unfortunately…

I mean they don’t accept in person submissions anyway to my knowledge, so the location doesn’t really matter that much in the end.

It’s been covered on the forum but it’s a great change and definitely welcome !

No more customs shenanigans and having to educate customs officers about returned goods relief :man_mage:

I have to say I really like this move from Beckett and since they also don`t have any value charges, they might receive some higher end cards from me in the future. Even though I would love to have a drop off / walkthrough possibility for very expensive cards

I’d absolutely give this a try if you could drop off and pick up in person, could make a roadtrip out of it! :beers: :hotdog:

Most cards you ship to grading won’t be covered by any insurance - so I’m sure a drop off is possible at some point.

Most eu people use secureus thinking they are insured, but they only cover sales.

They will be doing more Europe events where they do have a drop off service, though.
