Just out of curiosity, how much would you guys estimate that a BGS 9 1st Edition Base Set Charizard is worth? I recently purchased one and am curious to what the estimated market value is on that card.
I think with BGS it depends on the sub grades and how strong it actually is. When you get to that kind of grade with that expensive a card, how strong or weak the grade is will matter.
From other past threads it has been stated: BGS 10 > PSA 10 > BGS 9.5 > PSA 9
I expect it would price lower than a PSA 9, but it depends on the sub grades a bit and how strong or weak it is.

Depending on subgrades like above. I would guess around $4,000 - $4,750 depending

What subs? There’s a big difference between:
9.5 9.5 9 9
And
8.5 9 9 9
even though they’re both BGS 9s.
So does 9.5 9.5 9.5 10 still make it a 9.5
And then 10 10 9.5 9.5 a 10 or 9.5 ?
Both are 9.5s, need 3x 10 subs for a pristine 10.

That’s pretty solid. I would expect close to PSA 9 price. No 8.5 at least.
I’d think somewhere between 8.5 and 9 PSA value.
