Best and/or Worst Shiny Pokemon Experience(s) in Games

My worst shiny experience when it comes to the console games was playing Emerald on an emulator and encountering a shiny Gulpin. I had no PokeBalls left. I was just staring at the screen for a moment and killed the Gulpin. RIP.

Then another bad shiny experience was in Pokemon Go on Swinub community day. It was during winter time here in Finland and I spent so much time outside to get at least ONE shiny. I caught hundreds of Swinub and got no shiny. It left me very salty because it was freezing cold and I was trying to walk around for at least one shiny. Meanwhile a few community days when I couldn’t commit the whole community day hours I always found at least one shiny anyway. Really weird.

And now after disappointments, to my absolutely best shiny experience. This was in Pokemon Sun. I knew you could find a Bagon early in the game from route 3. Salamence is my favorite Pokemon so of course I wanted to find a Bagon. But I also heard if you keep chaining Bagon you could possibly encounter a low level Salamence. I wanted to try that out, I mean how cool would that be to have a low level Salamence in my team so early? So, I went and encountered a Bagon. And the first time Bagon called for help… It called a shiny Bagon! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Of course I caught it and had a shiny of my favorite Pokemon in the game during my whole playthrough

This is great! I can feel the moment just like it happened to me when I read your stories, I’m having a blast reading these! It’s so sad the ones where the game file corrupted, or it was on an emulator. I’m just waiting for the story of someone encountering a trainer with a shiny in Gold, Silver, and Crystal.

I did see someone say early on that they encountered a shiny blastoise in the battle pike. Is the battle pike an area for training against high level wild pokemon or something? I sadly never owned Emerald as a kid. I know the frontier is where you compete against the trainers and stuff like the battle tree and what not. However, I didn’t know you could fight against a trainer who has shiny pokemon after Gen 2.
