Hey im confused, did we ban Beanie Baby discussion from this forum? (Actual question… I’d like to discuss this highly controversial set). What do you guys see happening to the price in 1,2,3+ years? I grew up in Northern Minnesota and this is the coolest collectable product that I’ve ever seen.

I know this is a serious response to a joke thread, but I love my Beanie Baby collection despite it not having much monetary value.
I predict it will continue to go up in emotional value over time.

I am so nostalgic for these little guys. I’ll never forget the time I came home from 1st grade with a good report card and my mom took me to the store. She said I could pick out anything I wanted, so naturally I went straight to the Beanie Baby section. They say that the child doesn’t pick the Beanie Baby, but that the Beanie Baby picks the child.
I walked up to the shelf and there he was, almost glowing, calling to me: A Mothman 1st Edition Beanie Baby. I couldn’t believe my eyes. “Mom, these are impossible to find for MSRP!” my 6 year old self said. We bought it and immediately flipped it to an investor in the parking lot for 5x MSRP. I went on to buy my very first NFT with that money.

Beanie Babies discussion is not banned per se, but unfortunately almost all Beanie Babies discussion immediately devolves into sleeping, nostalgia, and animal hatred. It has reached a point where the well is poisoned so much that I doubt anything positive will come from threads here on it. You will likely be better served discussing it elsewhere.
It is also telling that the only question you ask is about what the price will be in a few years. Regardless of what you are posting on, howdoistonk/market discussions need to be posted in the appropriate Giant Market Thread.
