BBCE - Graded Packs - PSA

I can see why people would wanted it graded (monetary reasons), but I’m with you. I would never buy graded packs either. Especially with bbce track record of Pokemon. Now if e4 started its own Pokemon grading company, I’d be more trusting.

This is disheartening, I have a few graded packs and plans to grade another few light packs for my personal collection just to have them displayed. I’m thinking at this point I’ll just display them without them being in a psa slab.

I always take that one video (out of thousands/maybe hundreds of thousands packs graded?) with a very very large grain of salt for one reason - the video remains “unlisted” and is only available via direct link.

Why is this relevant? Well ask yourself if it was completely legit, why would it be unlisted? There is no good reason for it be unlisted if it only contained factual info imo.

Why don’t you ask the user his reason for making it unlisted? You’re making big assumptions about his integrity over such a small detail, considering the user is and has been for years, a trusted member of the Pokemon community.

The video is hidden from public view, not searchable on Youtube, and you call that a small detail?

There are no valid explanations for it to be unlisted and remain unlisted for years. You think he’s just doing PSA a favor?

So instead of letting the billions on YouTube see this potential major problem and warn everyone, he has it hidden out of the kindness of his heart for PSA ?

Relax with jumping to conclusions. People can do whatever they want with their content. Also, most claims, not just in collectibles, are handled privately. Someone choosing to unlist a video they own is not suspicious at all.

Absolute garbage take…

If anything, keeping it private helps with the validity. Someone putting effort into faking a video like that would want the public to see it lol. What point about it being a private video points to any sort of shady behaviour?

I will be very surprised if we don’t see PSA insourcing all pack authentication moving forward.

And potentially adding their own booster box authentication service down the line. This would only pass if they opened the box and a random pack before sealing it all up (something BCEE should have done).

PSA just reached out to me regarding the EX Deoxys pack; unfortunately I don’t still have it.

I guess it’s good to see that they’re willing to consider that they make mistakes with the pack authentication process and are working on it in some way.
