my shadowless and shadowless 1st edition cards woo joe thanks for the chinese ones now just need to upgrade some of them 2 9s you said you have chinese 1st edition at psa now when they get back if ones a 9 could i have it off of you please

These don’t work for me :slightly_frowning_face:

PokemonChina, im a collector from hong kong haha eventho i collect japanese but not chinese, was wondering how much does it cost u to send cards to psa getting graded? cuz im planning on buying a psa member but idk if shipping to usa from china is expensiveee

I think I’ve seen his cards sent through LudkinsCollectables on youtube if I’m not mistaken, he is based in the UK so you will have to pay his rate plus shipping to the UK in the first place.

Barney does not grade cards for people outside the UK.

he does just europe

yea i had contacted him b4 and he told me that he dosent take international orders haha.

btw hey ozenigma its me initial_charizard from instagram

I will pull up the video but unless Joe went to England he has indeed sent them through the service, i know this because barney actually refers to him as PokemonChina, if you cannot find another way then if you like I can send the cards onto barney if you pay for the shipping to him and back to you, but please consider this as a last resort. I would ask youtube graders like silversnorlax etc, I’m sure at least one will be willing to let you use their service.

That wasn’t a statement made out of not being able to use his services (although I still can’t because Barney has told me multiple times he doesn’t grade cards for anyone outside the EU/UK) but more of generalization on what service he offers.

I always thought the Joe had his own membership like myself.

I vaguely recall Barney saying the fees involved for international customers were very high.

Ah right I feel you, I didn’t actually know he only did europe to be honest. As to the question at hand, barney is expensive to grade through if you aren’t sending more than 50 cards to him in my opinion, paying over Ā£10 per card is a bit much i feel, with this in mind I would honestly look for alternatives and then compare them to actually buying a membership yourself, with alot of grading services you are going to end up spending the same as a whole years worth which comes with free grades worth basically as much as the membership anyway and then after that you save money by sending direct rather than through someone else for the rest of the year.

Solid advice mate. Which is why I am a member and grade my own cards. =)

I offer a service to those in Australia and New Zealand. £10 per card is pretty expensive in my eyes.

do you knwo anyone that does a grading services?

Just curious as to why other members are not allowed to offer grading services on the site if they collect ā€œprofitā€? As you are aware, membership isn’t free and collating an order takes time, energy, resources and quite a few perishables thanks to PSA making card savers single use.

Not trying to start any debate, just would like to know how this decision was reached when others are allowed to run profit from other middleman services here. =)

thanks will read through

The distinction was made in the post; our service is non-profit to fund the site, so members can continue to ask questions such as this.

There is a significant difference between this and someone using the site to market for personal profit. I personally do not market any of my business on the site, that I founded, and expense. This is not a personal venture, but a non-profit service to help members and fund the site.

Understandable. I guess my question relates to the fairness on not being able to make money on something that has a lot of outlay. After all, no member here is a charity and I don’t know ANY grading services that run at cost.

Just want to reiterate, not trying to question any judgement/authority, I guess my question is how is this any different to other members offering a middleman service for different things that aren’t grading? Cheers Scott =)

I understand where you are coming from. The difference is the purpose of the service. A member offering their service for profit is different venture and goal. The goal here is funding the site, for members. I pay for this site to exist. I will pay much more in the future for the site to exist. I also pay for outside work and/or any other expenses related to the website. There are a lot of costs, and plenty of future costs.

Apologies @zhongwen for getting off topic here. If you want @ozenigma feel free to PM me with any other questions and I would be happy to respond.

Last OT post I swear, I haven’t said this before but I would just like to thank you for your selflessness in paying for and maintaining the site for others to be able to use it, you are a top guy Scott.

Will the eBay site let you link to, or advertise for, outside businesses or websites?

Instead of thinking up objections let’s all pull together and support Scott in this venture. We owe it to him and benefit from it,
