Just looking for some advice and information about the base set 2 box’s and cards on the market and what prices I should be looking at to purchase.
I have seen a few box’s between £1400 and £3000 so interested in opinions to see what would be a god deal for them.
To add to this, if the purchase was to happen, would it be economically smart to keep the box sealed or enjoy the item as a fan and try to land a few nice holo pulls and maybe make a profit in the long future.
New to the scene but have kept cards from a while ago and graded them with psa and have 3 come back at 10 (charizard holo base set non 1st shadowed) (dark dragonite 1st holo) (dark charizard 1st non holo).
Also have a 1st edition fossil booster box and kept 3 original base booster of blastoise venausar and charizard.
Just introducing myself to the community and any help will be great with the above questions and information on what my items could be worth from experiences minds.
Some people love sealed product and collect that. Others love the thrill of opening the packs and all that entails. Simplly choose what you love, But be sure it fits your budget;)
I wouldn’t buy a base 2 box at market price and open it. You’d have to pull a Charizard and it would have to grade a 10 to potentially make your money back if you wanted to sell
I opened up a team rocket first ed box a few months ago. Even though the zard graded a 10, I still had a -EV from opening the box. The experience made it well worth it, though
