Do you mind others posting some cards in your thread. I recently started dealing/collecting these and have a fair number already scanned. They look really nice in person.
Yep some are textured and others are not. The Beerus card is textured and the Blue Vegito card isn’t! The Beerus one coat me $5.00 and the Vegito card cost me $100. I bought them both while I was in Tokyo!
They are indeed! You just have to see them in person to understand how amazing they are. The vast majority of all holographic cards have multiple Holo layers.
*sorry for the 3 year bump, but I’m curious to learn more about these
I’ve picked up a few of these DB Heroes card, just based on really liking how they look. Plus they’re made of a much heavier material / higher quality than most other TCG cards I’ve seen.
I’ve only been able to find limited info about the DB Heroes card game online… It’s an arcade game in Japan. I know you can buy cards from vending machines, and believe there are packs as well. Curious if anyone else collects these or has a good source of information online in English?
I love the dragon ball art. In most cases a lot more than Pokémon. In terms of opening a box I feel dragon ball is super satisfying as even the common cards look “cool”. I guess I’m just a sucker of over the top fancy looking shiny cards haha. I don’t know how to play the game but I recently bought a few boxes to open and some to keep for the long run. Might be totally worthless in the future and if that’s the case it would still be super fun to open. Great cards you have btw!
“the awakening” from 2008. Hopefully it’ll be vintage one day lol. (Most likely not)
I bought the themed sets of world martial arts tournament and clash of fates (tournament of power is waaaay out of budget and something I’m not comfortable spending on dragon ball)
Special anniversary box and special anniversary box 2020
I’m keeping these sealed for a few years and see how things go. Dragon ball is picking up right now (in terms of tcg) and tournament of power is garnering some big sales but only time will tell if they can maintain this momentum or not. If it’s a dud in a few years I’ll have a few fun boxes to open for myself
For now the box I bought to open is assault of the saiyans. I’m hooding for a signature pull. It’s still yet to arrive. But it’ll be the first box I ever open. I’m super hyped haha
I think we’re talking about completely different card games, though The cards I posted are from Dragon Ball Heroes, the Japanese arcade game that you can use these cards to play with. Your boxes are from the Dragon Ball Super CCG.
Actually one reason why it’s so difficult to find info online about DB Heroes is most of the search results are for DB Super CCG or the Nintendo games that share the same name.
Hahaha. Now you know I’m really in it just for the art. I honestly don’t even know how to play the dragon ball tcg. I only found out that cards exist like a couple of weeks ago!
