Does anyone outside Australia see listings charging them GST or a 10% extra charge for Australian listings? It looks like the buyer (from US) was charged a tax to buy from me dafuq
Lol I think I figured it out, the US has a new internet sales tax for each state that is being applied to eBay listings.

That’s interesting to know. So it’s basically VAT? Does that affect all internet sales?
Edit: TIL GST and VAT are the same thing.
@pichufan, actually I’m not 100% sure now, since the buyer was charged 10% which I think is more than their state tax, 10% is what we have in Australia. Do Australian eBay listings show up with an extra charge for you like on the listing itself?
I don’t see any additional charges using the UK site to purchase an AU item:
Could be that the cost has to reach a certain threshold first though? Might not apply to me being in the UK - I would already have to pay about £12 to import this.
