Artists Painting on Existing Cards?

Wow. The Base Set Dragonair has been my original favorite artwork, but this takes it to a whole new level. Although I dont support the destruction of Pokemon cards, I have to admit that this is a stunning extension of the original artwork. Plus, there are possibly millions of these Dragonair cards in existence, so I dont think any real damage has been done across the board. Just a case of one person expressing themselves, is all.

This is much more popular in MTG. I actually gifted my wife some alters for her commander decks and they look sweet. I’m not sure what I’d do with an altered pokemon card since I don’t play the tcg. Pictures of her alters below
