I’m more likely to spend $400 on chocolate with pokemon wrappers than a nice vintage card/slab, and that seems unusual.

No, because I actually care about the cards’ art, history and release circumstances, rather than monetary value.

I don’t think anyone has a hatred for deoxys as much as I do. I once got a Deoxys card as a free gift, and then proceeded to rip up the card. It’s litterally a decree that I state often when talking about rayquaza:

If Deoxys Material ever enters my hands, the only option is to destroy it.

I am a normie in some ways: I love cute cards, and collect pretty modern chase cards I think are cool. Eevee and Pikachu are favorites of mine.

I am not a normie in other ways: My current obsession in life is obtaining a Thai Starter Deck Slowpoke that probably costs 10 cents

I’m pretty normie. Pikachu is one of my favorite pokemon. I also enjoy 1st Ed Base and Moonbreon.

Oh I honestly have no clue but I’d like to think I’m not.

I mean, I guess I do collect a box legendary which isn’t all that special… but maybe the obsessive way in which I do so sets me apart? :rofl:

Grabbing as many random things with my guy on them as possible and taking pride in the weirdest ones I find. There was that military challenge coin, the absurd looking megablok, some Japanese newspaper clippings, crappy custom cards I drew in middle school, I found a poker chip the other day… Oh! And there was that time I spend three and a half months and over a thousand double A batteries (rechargeable, not killing the environment here) trying to catch the shiny using a robot! I don’t think normal people would do that… :sweat_smile:
