are (un)common first edition cards worth grading?

More and more people are grading their cards right now, and as we could see on the sale of the complete base set graded psa 10 sale people aren’t only interested in the holo cards.
My question is: are (un)common first edition cards from for example the gym sets worth grading? If not yet, when do you guys think these will be worth it?

Depends if you want that complete set.
There are millions of those cards out there so if it ever becomes worth it as a seller bunches of sellers will start grading them.
Gyms I would never get involved with.

I’d just collect the ungraded cards and if it makes sense to grade them in the future then do it.

I think if you can put together a complete uncommon set of 10s from the first edition first sets - base, fossil and jungle, yes it is worth it. Depends also on how much are you paying for the grading fee

Apart from Base, I’d think a gem set of the Light and Dark Eeveelutions would fetch a pretty penny.
