The thought crossed my mind the other day, with all the mistakes WOTC has made I wondered if having an extra holo or two from a booster box has happened. I guess this isn’t limited to WOTC, all booster box’s could included here.
My mind goes to @king Pokémon, I know that you have opened a tooonnn of booster box’s, did you ever come across this? Anyone else who has opened up alot of box’s, how about you?
And what other weird stuff (if any) has happened with booster box’s?
I know if I opened all the packs from a box and I got an extra holo or two I would be thrilled!
When I @ someone, like above I tried to @ King Pokémon, I type the “k” capital but when I post the post it turns it lowercase, therefore not working cause his name starts with a capital “k”. I tried copy and pasting his name, typing it manually, and editing the post several times and it keeps doing it. I tried other names on here that also start with a capital and it does the same thing. I’ve never experianced this before, is anyone else having this problem?
Good question. I’ve always gotten 12 from all wotc boxes except twice I’ve gotten 6 from a clear wrap shadowless and twice I got 6 from a 1st Ed Base. Super sucked all 4 times big time:(
I’ve opened up very few Skyridge or later so really can’t speak to those.
One time I did get two holos in a pack but I believe it was a gym or Neo.
My god can you imagine opening a first edition base box today and only pulling 6 holos? Nightmares are made of this… unless you got a zard, which would make it sting a little less lol
I know I’ve gotten above/below 12 from modern product but I can’t speak to WOTC.
@mikejofthecoast, people can change their display names but it doesn’t change how they were originally registered on the forum, which is what you have to tag for the tag to go through. If I want to tag Gary, I have to tag @ garyis2000. It’s a minority of people on the forum but it can definitely be confusing sometimes. If you hover over their display name on a post of theirs it will show you the name you have to tag.
What’s weird in Gary’s case however, is that you’d still have to search for “Not Zelda Gilroy” in the Insert User Link search box of the rich text area… So his current username is King Pokémon, the tag is and always will be @ garyis2000, but it’s weird I can’t search for King Pokémon but have to search for Not Zelda Gilroy instead.
I have gotten 11, 12 and 13 holos from Neo Discovery Unl. and a few other sets. Can´t really speak for all wotc sets though as I´ve not opened up every single one. 12 holos was the absolute norm for my wotc boxes with the occasional 11. I would say that 13 is not impossible but pretty improbable from my experience.
Unfortunately I did not, but I did have a picture after I opened everything. I’ll have to see if I can find that as I know I posted it in the discord when it happened.
In 2017 I received 2 evolution booster boxes for Christmas. In both boxes, every pack that had holos, had 3 holos in each pack! I have a ton of evolution holos because of this lol. I’ve never heard of this happening to anyone either? I was very happy that day.
