Thereā€™s no way I could find the whole 250 card set, but Iā€™m buying boosters here and there. They are very exciting to open-- but no shinies for me yet. I need to bite the bullet and order a box.

I found some deals on Ebay that did a couple boxes, it was 5 for about $390. That made it about $78/box which wasnt too bad. I know thats not super cheap lol butā€¦

I actually just bought one on Amazon Japan! Only $68 including shipping. I was waiting for them to go down below $80 on eBay.

So Iā€™ve opened 10 boxes, each box contained 1 ultra shiny fullart, 1 ultra shiny holo and 1 of either ultra shiny holo/fullart shiny trainer/gold card. So 3 secret rares total in 10 boosters. Then you get an average of 2 holo rares, 1 shattered glass holo common/uncommon/rare and 1 gx per booster. Occasionally a holo is replaced with a prism. Basically you can get a shattered glass version of every regular card (which look awesome), like every regular card in evolutions had a reverse. The choice of artwork for the regular cards is also great which make the shattered glass versions even better to collect. Then you have the ultra shiny holos/fullart which are just insane, aswell as the new fullart shiny trainers and gold cards of course.

Even though a booster box only has 10 boosters you get WAY more special cards compared to a larger English booster box, which will just drown you in trash cards. Also, historically the English version of these kind of special releases are a lot worse so on this occasion Iā€™d personally buy the Japanese if you are collecting for the artwork.

Ye Amazon Japan still works out a lot cheaper than an English booster box even after postage/customs to UK for me. The value is MUCH higher.

I wish they had made all the reprint cards (ex tapu lele gx, blaziken, torchic, wtc) with the same artwork however changing the pokemon to a shiny colored version. Then every single pokemon card in this set would be a shiny or a gold card!!!

Gotta open a few more boxes to even get excess cards O.o
