Can someone add a link to a set list with pictures for Mysterious Mountains. Last but not least how much do these booster boxes roughly go for? Or good place to buy the Holo’s in singles
What we refer to as ‘Skyridge’ in Western Pokemon is made up of the two Japanese sets ‘Split Earth’ (e4) and ‘Mysterious Mountains’ (e5). The bulbapedia page does a sufficient job at showing the set list: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Skyridge_%28TCG%29
I think booster boxes don’t come up for sale on a regular basis, but I don’t really look out for them. I’d guess somewhere in the 6-8k range for 1st Edition boxes. Single 1st Ed booster packs go from anywhere from 120 to 200 USD, Split Earth seems to be scarcer and is on the higher side of this spectrum. Unlimited is WAAY harder to find as sealed product and commands a higher price (but not THAT much higher despite being so much rarer).
PSA pops for 1st Ed vs. UED also show how there’s way more 1st Ed. in circulation.
In regards of a good marketplace, I think ebay is pretty good. The demand isn’t huge atm so you can still get good deals. If you dare to buy from Japanese sites though, occasionally yahoo auctions has some really good prices for packs (like 70% of ebay prices).
edit: seems you edited your question while I was typing. Just ignore the Split Earth part then, the rest should still apply.

Ok thanks that helped a lot @muk it’s kind of rough trying to learn Japanese sets. Is there a Holo in all the packs? Trying to find box openings now to figure out pull rates
Pull rate should be 1 holo every 2 packs, so like Japanese Base Set. I don’t know the pull rates for Crystals though.

Ya that’s next question. I’m seeing it’s 5 cards per packs and what 40 packs total? My original thought is it would be a blast to open but maybe I’ll end up just buying some graded Japanese holo’s and possibly crystal holo’s. I have all crystals in English but would love to have the Japanese ones as well. Hardly any pack openings so far. I found lootbox TV opening a few packs
40 packs per box should be right I think. I mean you technically could wheigh the packs and sell the light ones for ~100 USD each to minimize your loss, but that’s a slow process. You’ll be most probably be cheaper off with just buying graded PSA 10s.
That doesn’t take away from the fact that is surely IS a blast to open such an old box

True I primarily collect English cards but Skyridge holo’s are quite expensive even ungraded and lack of supply listed online. Figured maybe I’ll do just Skyridge equivalent in Japanese. I originally thought booster box was 3.5k or so. And most holo’s listed were $100 plus. So thought process is i could open them for close to the same price and have chances at crystals. But if it’s closer to 7k like you said I’ll probably have to lean on just buying the Holo’s in a lot or singles. Mint or graded.
