Hello E4, this is my collection thread! Super excited to share what I have :)) I will update this as I get more cards.

In 2014, I told my mother that I needed Pokemon cards to fit in with the other kids at school. The popular kids all had their EX tins stuffed to the brim with all the new XY cards. That evening she went on Amazon and bought me an Xerneas EX tin. The first packs I ever opened were 2 XY base, 1 legendary treasures, and 1 plasma blast.
Throughout my elementary & middle school years I collected on and off. Everyone at campus had their own tin with their own stack of EX cards we would trade around. I quit when COVID and high school happened.
In the summer of 2024 I purchased a few slabs I really enjoyed. Have been buying since.
What I collect, Goals and Grails:
I collect cards that I grew up on, and many of them reside in a period where Pokemon’s quality control jumped off the cliff. As such, the PSA 10 pop on them are very low. Once the ig pokebros evolved from modern and discovered low-pop, many of these cards reached prices in the high-4 figures, making them difficult to obtain.
Luckily the Japanese side had fantastic QC, and there are plenty of PSA 10 copies of my favorite cards available.

Now let’s get on to the cards! The first three pictures were taken in fall of 2024, the next were taken in spring of 2025.
The M Rayquaza EX full art from Roaring Skies is my #1 favorite card of all time. I remember watching PrimetimePokemon’s Roaring Skies ETB unboxing the day it was released, and being amazed when he pulled this card. Someday I’ll get a PSA 10 copy. The secret rare Rayquaza from Dragons Exalted & alt art from evolving skies are very beautiful cards too.
I guess today the Phantom Forces Gengar EX & Dialga EX full arts are considered the definitive grails of XY, but as kids the top chase in all of XY for us was the Flashfire Mega Charizard X. I was lucky enough to get a copy of the secret rare variant. The Reshiram has beautiful artwork and reminds me of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. (P.S, I know covering the cert is cringe but this was the only good looking picture of the card I had, sorry)
