SWSH will go down as one of the best releases of all time. Especially the 2nd half of that era. It’s fun to collect it. I’m very nostalgic for it and it just ended.

By era do you mean the SwSh sets with alt arts? I think it’s actually significantly better than any SwSh set before it (but it’s too fun to meme on).

Well if it’s before it, yes, I agree with that. As far as the 2nd half of that era, it’s the worse IMO

That’s hardly a controversial opinion considering every set after it has more special arts than it.
And that is really the only measure people use anyway.

Are you guys not paying attention to SV sets as they come out? Temporal forces nuked pull rates on the top rarity SIR to 1-2/case, twilight masquerade seems to be a similar number, so all you really have to wait for now is a top hit being some Pokemon you particularly care about.
It did, yeah. My theory is that both Vivid Voltage and Battle Styles were bought out by a few people thanks to the high amount you could purchase from the PC to drive hype. I also think the same thing happened with Astral Radiance, which had no limit (vs 6 for LO and BS, and 4 for ST).
We live in crazy times…cant wait to see sword and shield get crazier!
Those sets are getting expensive
Those are some crazy prices. Those cards are about half of that in price on Ebay/Tcgplayer. Do people just get that caught up in the moment, hope they’ll grade well, or do they just cancel sometime before it ships? Wild.
The Gengar is Japanese, not sure if it makes a difference.

My theory is that the short auction window doesn’t give people time to check comps. And then the hype of the host makes them think it’s worth more.
All the raw sellers I’ve seen quote PSA 10 prices when they’re auctioning NM raws. It’s literally disgusting imo
