I’m excited to update the Warren Buffett challenge thread when twilight masquerade drops

Burning Shadows 5ban Rainbow Charizard… $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I’m curious to see if Silver tempest gets sold out before Battle Styles on pc

Anyone’s guess! Lugia is no stranger to the buy outs

Today is a historic day. The most toxic, over printed swsh item (Charizard UPC) has surpassed MSRP. Congrats on your 5$ profits to my diamond hand kings!

Those of you who dumped, shame

Interesting to see that Scarlet & Violet Base is sold out on PC. Especially since the market price on TCGPlayer is 45% less than MSRP

It’s at the point where no matter how many you bought you wish you grabbed more!

I’d still wager a couple more resto ks on PC before it’s all over for swsh. And it’s interesting cause later reprints down the line are less likely due to the new card format we got in swsh. The end of yellow borders pretty much signals the end of me caring about new cards but I’d still likely buy some boxes if they make a good SV set someday

Yea agreed sword and shield is on life support for supply on PC and general retailers like Walmart/Target. End of an ERA with such a great block in my opinion. Would hope SV can turn around and produce something that excites me, but I’m not really into bedazzled mons which has me only looking for cool alt arts at this point.

Lol yeah the jewelry on Pokemon will never be cool. They need some fan favorite pokemon alt arts with garbage pull rates stat

I think this is one of the reasons why many collectors are mid on SV so far. There’s been a concentrated attempt by TPC to promote many of the new Pokemon introduced in Gen 9. Compare that with SwSh where many of the most popular sets were focused around longtime fan favs such as Charizard, Eeveelutions, Rayquaza, Lugia etc.

The full arts are nice to look at, but something could be said about their oversaturation, the lack of set identity/artstyle cohesion, and the ease of pulling them.

It’s already a marked improvement from the early SwSh sets, but I hope the tail end of the SV era is more interesting. It would be sad if Gen 9 were remembered for 151…an entirely Kanto-focused set.

Yeah I understand they need to introduce the new Pokemon. But sets aren’t 75 cards anymore lol. Plenty of room for whatever they want to do. And it seems they just want to make Pokemon as flashy as possible

Joking aside I’m actually really shocked at how quick this thing has rebound. It was impossible to escape them down in the mid-high 80s. For it to be 130 just a year later is kind of insane actually. Never bet against charizaord

I went to Target on Sunday and found ten (10) single pack blisters of Lost Origin. Anything SWSH is definitely on life support at any big chain. I was surprised to see it.

Are they worth buying outside of boxes? I think etbs are still 35$ in the usa. What does target charge for a pack is it like 4$?

I think etbs and packs should be available for a little while longer after packs go

All I know is there will be a point where the threshold is met and sleeved boosters at all Krogers will be a worthwhile purchase at 4.99 like when that random evolving skies stock dropped last year. All my Krogers are stocked to the rafters with Lost Origin sleeved boosters.

If I’m not mistaken, I swore I saw it for $4.99

As far as is it worth it; it really depends on your outlook.

I didn’t buy any of it because IMO the only thing holding that set is the Giratina V

Honorable mentions:

• Charizard (Trainer Gallery)

(Reluctant to even put this on here)

• Mew and Pikachu VMAX (Gold Cards)

• Aerodactyl V

• Pikachu VMAX

if it’s not Fusion Strike, Evolving Skies, Brilliant Stars or Silver Tempest, I’m not looking at it.

Chilling Reign- I have no position in this and regret it.

I’m almost tempted to buy some PC exclusive etbs for the older sets. But idk if I will. I don’t know if etb buyers care about the PC exclusives

Agreed. The only card that speaks to me is that Aerodactyl and the Giratina is nice but I’m not dropping coin on it. The rest of the set though…
Ew brother ew what's that brother meme

Maybe. It’s such a niche release. I personally wouldn’t care and the only thing I’m looking at is the set itself.

Yeah they speak to sealed etbs collectors only I’d imagine. At least the ones before exclusive promos
