Anyone willing to part with their copy on a payment plan? I have money ready for a down payment and I would really like to finally purchase one of these bad boys.
I may also be interested in other trophy level cards (pre-2000 preferred) and with original display cases.
I hope someone can help me out soon, otherwise il just end up blowing all my cash on Starbucks and candy bars lol.
I was raising money to bid on the yj one hoping it wudnt sell right away lol. Then the same thing happened when it sold to the second buyer… Just my luck haha. Makes me want it more now! Ugh
Just curious if these payment plans actually ever happen and how they would work?
Are you saying you would pay on a plan with delivery being made after all payments are complete or are you saying you want to put a down payment and then make payments up to the full amount only then getting the card shipped to you?
Seems like a big risk for you in one case and a big risk for the seller in the other. I say if you have a lofty goal for a trophy such as this to save up the $$$ up front and be ready to pounce when the time comes. Maybe it was all a joke, but I have been inquired before if I do payment plans and I honestly didn’t even know what they meant by it.
I’ve sold trophy cards on payment plan several times in the past. Basically what I did was have the buyer put down a deposit to reserve the product. Then they submit payments over time until the asking price is reached, upon which time the product is mailed to the buyer. There is very little risk for the seller really, but as a buyer I would only do something like this with a person I trust completely
They occur occasionally for higher end items. Typically the payment plan is done with someone you know, or at least someone with references. Most businesses require a non-refundable deposit, set up a payment timeline and ship the card after the final payment. I purchased a couple items this way years ago.
You already have your answer, but people in the community should know that Paypal has an option where partial payments can be made. This removes the risk to both the buyer and seller as the seller doesn’t send till full payment is made, and the buyer doesn’t lose on any money from not opening a case soon enough to a fraudulent seller if it goes past the time limit.
Optimally I’d like to pay around $2500-3000. The actual price will depend on things like condition or if the case is included. I’m also looking for cheap, beat up no rarity base cards so let me know if any of you have some to spare. Thanks everyone!
That price range is a bit low for the current market. The faded one sold for about $3500. This was not on ebay, which if it were the card would most likely earn a higher price.
Also, a complete pika set sold with the average price being more than double that range. Basically if you want to drive one out of the woodwork, you would be talking at least 5k. Otherwise one may pop up sporadically on a japanese site and you can snipe it for a bit less if you catch it in time.
Like cheap cheap. I’m looking for no more than 15 bucks a piece for the ‘common’ holos (ex; all except Charizard, blastoise etc). Looking for poor/played condition copies
