(74,450) How many cards did we (E4) send out in 2020?

According to the PSA employee I spoke that would indeed be the case. For Thai/Indonesian/Russian cards and such she said it would be best to ask first before sending in, but she said any French card after the DP era is fine to send in, so I’m assuming the same can be said for German/Italian/Spanish/Portuguese.

Here our conversation:

We do! We are accepting Pokemon in languages beyond Japanese and English from the Diamond and Pearl Era and up, just as an FYI, but here is the card you are looking for.

I hope this helps!

Hi,

Thank you for the response, that’s great to hear!
In that case I’ll send some in soon. I have the other five Ancient Mew versions in PSA-10, so I hope to complete the Ancient Mew PSA-10 sixtet in the future.

Oh, and I didn’t knew PSA grades non-English/non-Japanese cards after the DP era. That’s very interesting. So I could for example send in a French BW card, or Russian XY card, or Indonesian Sun & Moon card?
Out of curiosity: why aren’t the previous eras of cards being graded for non-English/non-Japanese cards in that case? I always thought PSA only graded the non-English/non-Japanese Base Set, and special releases from Japan or English-speaking countries (like the Pikachu World Collections, or French Gotta Magazine Pikachu).

Greetings,
Kevin

We have just decided to accept other languages because reliable sources for languages other than Japanese and English have become available. I would check beforehand to make sure we have the information for say the Indonesian or Russian, but I know that customers have been requesting that we grade other languages.
The problem has been that there might have been great info for the Italian of x set, but not the Spanish, and the French of Y set, but not the Korean. So, rather than making it exceedingly complicated for both customers and PSA to figure out, we decided to make it very clear, and not accept any of them.

So, good news all around, right?
I hope this helps.

The “So, rather than making it exceedingly complicated for both customers and PSA to figure out, we decided to make it very clear, and not accept any of them.” refers to my second question about grading cards from the WotC era up to and including the DP era. The “We have just decided to accept other languages because reliable sources for languages other than Japanese and English have become available. I would check beforehand to make sure we have the information for say the Indonesian or Russian, but I know that customers have been requesting that we grade other languages.” refers to grading other languages after the DP era.

But it might be best to ask through their Customer Research Request, a feature they recently added and also directed me towards for my question about the Korean ©2020 Ancient Mew, about your German cards just to make sure. I’ve only heard it from a single employee now.
