Are you saying that BBCE would open them, then reseal them with a BBCE seal? That would actually be a great solution except if you were to go through the trouble of getting a box, the right amount of packs, and then resealing it to show that it was sealed before it got to BBCE. Just a thought.
Is this mess going to cause the price of the heritage box to go higher since there’s actual trust there?

I don’t understand how CG has bought this box from a guy he supposedly trusts, who told him that three boxes had been kept in a safe for 20 years, yet when confronted with the reality that he’s been supposedly sold a fake - thus blatantly lied to at best - his response is that everything will be A-okay because he can just put his faith in the same guy again to provide him with a real box this time (for reals).
There is an obvious explanation to this…

He was warned by multiple people that the box looked bad. It has a big crease on the top where it looked like it had been set up folded into the display. He ignored this and bought anyway. It’s obvious either the philly guy is lying or CG is. There are no other options if one of them claimed it was stored for 20 years. I’m banking the seller is the liar. This box has made its rounds to multiple other buyers who have passed on it. Only takes 1 sucker…

Maybe Guru and the dumb money guy are in on it together and someone they know or one of them have a real 1st edition box and now everyone believes that 375k$ is an “accepted” sale price despite the deal not going through. I’m not saying the box isn’t worth 375K$ but it seems to be the new threshold.

What about an actual database of serial codes of the boxes? Both opened and sealed ones? Not really a definitive solution but given the small number of opened 1st ed boxes, this might not be hard. Some could probably be scraped off from ebay.

Yeah it doesnt make sense. Ill just buy more from the guy that sold me the resealed boxes. What a great idea.
The betting companies are lowering the odds that CG resealed it.

Box was resealed with cards ranging all the way up to 2020. Seller is “credible” but has to be pretty close to whoever did it.
