This reminds me of the time I opened my 1st Neo revelations box as a kid (my mom used to get me one box every semester). I got 3 Shining Magikarps out of one box… I was furious as a kid… Little did I know how lucky I was then lol!

I can’t even imagine getting a booster box as a gift now, let alone back when I was a kid. That would be just about the coolest gift I could imagine.

Hahaahaha Just took a screenshot of this and sent it to my mom. My mom provided me with an amazing childhood I cannot complaint about that. To this day (as a grown 27 year old), She comes to my house every weekend

It was!! It kept me in check every semester to get A’s and now as an adult I see the cost that it must have been for her to do those things for me. I hope one day i’ll be as lucky to have a kid and get them into the hobby!!

That’s really fantastic that you have such a solid relationship with your mother. Really treasure that. One of my biggest points of dissatisfaction in life is having to move for work. I’ll be 10 hours away from nearly all of my family next year and that sucks pretty hard. Family is something I didn’t appreciate enough as a kid and now as an adult I’m not in a position to utilize all a tight family has to offer.

I didn’t really look into this thread, but seeing those Reverse Holo’s made me budge and see if I can get a couple of booster boxes to open. They look hellawesome and it would definitely be nostalgic to me!

Happy to announce that I completed CP6 and Evolutions, including reverse holos and theme deck exclusives. Now deciding whether I should head into the prerelease/ staff versions

From what I can tell Staff charizards english are settling at around $250 so it’s not TOO bad xD

Yeah i got one for 225 but didn’t like the condition and sold it for 250 with good pictures of the condition of the card. With ebay fees and all i can almost break even. I’m hoping they go down to 100-200 range in a couple months.
I agree $250 isn’t terrible, It is true that there are only 1000 in the US market? Can anyone confirm that?
Figured some people might be interested in my breakdown of 26 boxes of Evolutions.
- 58 Full arts (2.23 per box avg)
- 122 Regular EX cards (4.7 per box avg)
- 137 Holos (5.27 per box avg)
- 110 Secret Rares (4.23 per box avg)
- 13 Holo Charizards (1 per 2 boxes avg)
- Break cards were always 2 per box.
- Most common Full Art was Charizard at 9 and Brock at 8.
- Least Common Full Art was Blastoise at 5
- Most common SR was Exeggutor at 31
- Least common SR was Team Rocket at 14.
Overall had 5 master sets. I have enough extra FA cards to trade for the missing ones for a 6th, but still would be missing a few Reverse Holo uncommon/common cards.
Feel like I had some really good luck with pulls (minus card quality) to basically average 1 master set per 4-5 boxes. Was a fun week opening these packs with friends who haven’t really collected since the early days.

I love how Charizard Holos are less common than any of the Uncommon SRs.
Charizard Reverse are even worse in my case, ended up with 7, so just about 1 in 4 boxes.

The demand for this set is crazy, almost every webshop in Belgium & the Netherlands is sold out! Some stores increased prices on boosterboxes 15 euro and even those stores are sold out!
Distributors can’t follow the demand. I’ve bought 120 boxes for my bulk trade-in action and can’t get any more for a while.
