Speaking from experience, its finding the correct buyer that will make the value. With the Zard for instance, people want high quality grades as there is an established market for those higher market grades, and there isn’t really a market for Zard off cuts.

There have been some crazy extraordinary miscut cards from random sets, and just oddball even common cards, that have sold for high numbers due to the interesting miscuts. There is a seller on Ebay who pretty much specializes in crazy miscuts and some of which people didnt even know is possible. You could have a $.06 common, but has some crazy miscut now sell for much much higher just because its very interesting.

Your zard is very borderline on them giving it a OC, but depending on the card, situation, and buyer, its very hard to say one is better than the other. In an established market, id give the opinion its best to hope they don’t give it a subgrade at all. Sweet card though.
