Hi there. I am looking to buy a 1st edition base set charizard in a decent looking condition, preferably ungraded. You guys are always helpful so I thought I might ask you for help to put a decent price on a quite good looking card. Thanks a lot in advance 
“Decent looking condition” is a very vague statement and hard to advise a value. Pairing it with “quite good looking” makes it harder to gauge I think.
I would start here and see what range you find good enough looking for yourself. It is tough to argue with actual prices realized at auction. You could be talking anywhere likely from $500-$1,000+ depending on your specific tastes.
I would describe the condition as a card with no wrinkles, there may be less visible scratches on holo and the backside should be mostly blue with the exception of some white spots here and there. Not looking to grade the card, just to keep in my personal collection.
The condition you are describing is Near Mint to Mint.
