So this card have been selling for $200 for a long time now and suddenly it’s more then doubled in price. What would you guys value this card at? I saw one person offer $450 but not sure If it made any deal.

Cards like the Red Cheeks Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur are highly sought-after.
Now consider the population report for PSA 10 1st edition:
Charmander - 640
Squirtle - 579
Bulbasaur - 232
Considering Charmander and Squirtle sell for around $300, it makes perfect sense that Bulbasaur would command a significant premium given the huge disparity in the population report. Recent sales for the Bulbasaur have gone for $500 or more.

Unreal actually it’s even higher then 2017 prices. But it’s the same for many other cards ofcourse.
Prices are higher now than they were in 2017 across the board. And compared to 2017, the prices of all the sealed product are WAY higher, so you’re not going to get a flood of graded cards like you did a few years ago (which was the only reason prices fell off a bit for a time).

Why? There are more people and money in the market today.
Every day, week, month, year… they are only getting older, rarer, minty-er, better and more expensive

Also more copies then ever though. Just seemed like alot for a common card Although it is Bulbasaur.
Also it’s 1st edition base
have to compare it to a lot of factors. This card was so under valued for the last year or 2 for it’s pop, being an iconic starter, wotc 1st ed, arita og artwork, etc.
You can go spend a grand plus and maybe pull this “common” card, but even if you do what are the chances i will 10 on top of that? Now relate that to 1000s of people going after under 300 copies and the price jump is no surprise to me.
