today I received the confirmation that a $480 item I sent off from Germany to the US on December 17th finally got delivered. So it took almost 3 months.
Frankly neither me nor the buyer actually expected this package to arrive anymore, so I couldn’t be happier.
Big shoutout to pokian_tradings for being the best, most understanding and patient buyer I could’ve hoped for.
What has been the longest time for you as seller/buyer for a package to get successfully delivered?
November till last week, i asked for a refund in January. I messaged the guy and asked if he wanted me to send the card back and he said i could keep it.
For me it was also around 3 months for a parcel from Germany to the US, from around Nov. 1st to the end of January. Of course I had to refund the buyer inbetween, but since the estimated time was 50+ days from the start, we couldn’t do anything but look at the tracking and wait.
Sending parcels to the US from here took magnitudes longer than to any other country I sent to during the pandemic.
About 6 months. It was a card from Australia that had to make its way to Germany. This was in March of last year when the Australian post office was completely overwhelmed by the new Covid situation
I had several 2-3 months packages from various places around the world during spring and summer last year when a lot of things were shut down. Most of the things arrived eventually while a couple of packages from Japan was returned to sender where after I in some cases got a refund and in other cases the seller mailed the stuff at a later point. Patience is a virtue… I have never had anything Pokemon related lost in the mail.
I forget the exact time, but I think it was 2-3 months, sending to Canada from the UK back in 2017. It was stuck in Canadian customs for the vast majority of that time. The buyer lost his patience well before that however
I think I had a couple 3 month orders that arrived after all, but I can’t remember all of them. I will exclude pre-orders, since I did had some of 4-6 months, including one for a twisty puzzle that had problems at the factory, causing it to delay an additional three months.
One order I definitely remember though: my Moltres BGS black label 10. It had to travel from the US to The Netherlands. After it was send out, it took about two weeks until it was in Paris, France (which is a normal shipping time from the US to Europe). But there the tracking stopped for little over two months. After a few weeks both me and the seller started to worry a bit. After little over a month I worried a lot. Luckily the seller (an Efour member that isn’t active anymore by the looks of it) was able to contact the delivery service to look into it (DHL if I remember correctly), and after two months it finally started moving again, thank God. After that I was expecting it to be in customs in Amsterdam for a bit, but it luckily arrived within just two days at the local post office to pick up, after it started moving again. Very relieved it turned up, after those almost 2.5 months. And it’s still pop-1 right now.
The 6 and 7 months delays of some others here are already more than I could have imagined, but yours is indeed in a league on its own. Crazy. Care to elaborate?
A friend in Japan bought a lot by request and shipped it to me, package took a lot of time to arrive the country, it was held in customs for 2 months because a worker wrote my name incorrectly even tho it was in capital printing on the package, so they never send the paper telegram to notify me cos my name didn’t exist so neither my address, package updated after those 2 months from being processed to being return to sender. I was pissed off, imagine the situation. Package returned to Japan, taking a lot more of time, I paid shipping again, it was sent here again, 2 more months of waiting for it being processed (it’s normal here cos customs is shit). Package update to being returned to sender again cos they wrote my name wrong for a second time, so it returned to Japan, I paid shipping for the third time, shipped it to a middleman, that eventually brought it by comercial plane flight so it never touched customs and then I traveled to capital city to pick it up. Package was not expensive but I wanted it, soooo yeah, welcome to South America : )
@papafrankgod I can’t imagine how frustrating that must’ve been when it got returned the second time. You have my respect for pulling through with it and finally securing it at last!
April 24th was date marked shipped from Singapore
September 25th was date of delivery at my home in Canada.
Juuust over 5 months. But thats not my record if you count “item not delivered RTS” (return to sender)
That record is roughly 7 months, and much less of a distance than Singapore and Canada. It was Canada to Miami where it must have gotten lost for 6 months at a facility after a failed delivery for faulty address or person not found or something (to do this day i have no idea how, as it resent to the same address and successfully delivered, 7 months later). It was sent back to me, i contacted the buyer who forgot he even bought it, we arrange shipment again, and boom, he got his PSA 10 web series gengar, for the low price of $180 USD, which is the real painful part of the story lol
