WTB PSA 9 Shadowless Blastoise

Mine sold for $5k earlier this week. Time to bump that offer up.

Congrats on the sale. Next will be 7k+ I feel it.

I have one for sale but it’d take a lot more for me to sell. Good luck with the hunt!

In a recent thread you were saying 1st edition stamp is everything…

Thanks for the heads up. Need the 9 tho. Will have to do a trade plus cash at this point.

This made me feel a little better about selling my Shadowless 8’s :sob:

Jk, I’m sure we both used the money to grow other plants

Well this escalated quickly…

Its pretty close to the price I would accept IF i ever felt like selling today. But wow wonder what it will be by Dec.

This is my conundrum. I have about $20k worth of base set cards (about 5-6 cards) I’m ready to sell, but I’m just waiting for any indication that the growth has slowed. I don’t want to sell for $20k today and find I could have sold for $40k at Christmas. I’m already kicking myself for selling an UNL PSA 9 blastoise for $400 a couple months ago.

For me its not about the money I can make vs the cost it would take to reobtain a similar card. I bought the cards with no intention of selling unless things in life changed drastically.

Yeah that would be a tough call. I have numerous extras I’ve collected that were obtained with the intention to sell in the future.

As someone who also sold a PSA 9 Unlimited Blastoise for $400 in August, I feel this immensely.

As someone who sold a PSA 9 shadowless Blastoise for $400 in March, I REALLY feel this.

Rhetorical questions but this would be my thought process.

What am I doing with the $20k?

Does it need to be $20k? If I don’t sell and they drop to $10k can I still fund whatever I needed to fund?

Would I regret more selling at $20k to watch them go to $30k or not selling at $20k and watching them go to $10k? Which seems more likely to me?

Either way it is a nice problem to have.

I feel the same. That’s a huge amount of money, but a $4k increase from last week. I wish I had a crystal ball do know where these will ultimately end up, because the risk of selling too soon is huge.

I bought a PSA 9 Venusaur & PSA 8 Blastoise the other day for $750 USD for both & passed up on a PSA 8 Charizard for $750. Next day it jumped $1250 for the Venusaur and $750 for the Blastoise. Seller kept his word after I paid and didn’t refund despite the price hikes. Crazy market, huh.

Another way to look at it. This is different for everyone. But if you have the ability to turn 20k into 30-40k over the next year or two, investment wise. Do you think you could buy back after that point and still have money in your pocket?

This is what I’m thinking about now. I can make money if I have cash to play with. Cards that I think will peak and stay, I may sell and invest a bit.

Just heard of a copy that was on eBay sold locally for the same ask. The sale was for 10k.

Lol I offered my psa 9 to the OP for $4.7k last week. I guess lucky for me that he didnt take my offer *shrug*
