I wonder if in both of these cases they simply had to perform additional checks on where the funds had come from as some sort of anti money-laundering effort and that’s why there was a delay.

After you attempt to purchase, Zen will hold the sale and make you send them photos of your license and credit card. If you use a credit card they will also make you confirm the transaction receipt number. They may also require a certain (high) percentage of the money to be from a bank wire transfer as opposed to a credit card for high value transactions. But the real time killer is that every single micro transaction will take Zen a full business day to respond to.
When I bought my Mysterious Pearl I was doing it within a day of creating my account on there and they made me take pictures of my license too. At first I was like wtf but of course it makes sense. They need to protect themselves against buying items and not having the end customer pay. Could their service be more streamlined? Sure. But the real issue for me is the fact that we even need them in the first place. Everything would be much easier if we could cut these sites out and buy from these sites/sellers as ourselves. Wishful thinking. I can’t even imagine how stressful it is when you get up to Trophy Kangaskhan, SNAP Bulbasaur, or even Illustrator levels of money just in limbo like that.

It is really not a great system in terms of customer service. I had approved the transactions several times and had provided all the required documentation beforehand. They said they were proceeding with the purchase and even then I messaged asking them to do the purchase immediately as I knew others were considering buying the card. The card was available at that time and for the next 5 hours, and despite multiple messages I sent them they only replied after it was sold saying they were not able to purchase.
In any case hopefully another will come up. I hope
pkonno relists his raw copy again for a reasonable price (and hopefully with better pictures 
).

Also wanted to share the article below which I recently found on one of my searches. It is written by someone that attended the Parent Child Tournament and sheds some light into its format. It also mentions that it was held in at least two separate venues which may indicate that there may actually be a larger population of this card (if the tournament was held in different venues thought Japan)
