Perhaps someone here knows, but I managed to get a decent price for Salamance (10/97) about 2 or so months ago, however, the price in general is really expensive. I’m curious why this card in particular is more expensive then the majority of the EX and even the secret rares from this set?
I’ve checked the population report for PSA, 9 & 10’s seem to be the same, I cannot figure out why this card is going for so much…
Cool character, cool artwork + potential for Arita to sign it, very very mild playability for the 04 format, and it’s one of the set mascots.

As @alecpokemon, said, great artwork of a really popular pokemon but also ex dragon holos are apparently very rare. So it being the most popular of all the holos and all the holos are generally a bit expensive means its even more expensive
