IMO Since Nintendo took over from Wizards of the Coast, The series has been going down hill that’s not to say the sets they release now are terrible. Its just I think Wizards of the Coast set a high standard and Nintendo has been unable to reach their level. I really miss the 1st edition cards I don’t collect much cards after Neo Destiny unless they are Trophy cards or Japanese Promos. Talking about Japanese cards does anybody miss the old Pocket Monsters backs on the cards? I much prefer them to the Pokemon Energy thing that they use now.
The old back was iconic (although I admit it was dated), I can’t warm up to the new one personally 
I’m very pleased the English back is still the original one though 
they did well with that one
My nostalgia makes me want to burn most new cards and put them on a stake to let it be a lesson to other cards… but that’s just me, lol.
