Why did beanie babies bust?

Haven’t read through the responses but the answer is simply supply and demand.

The original 1st set of beanie babies are still valuable because only a few were printed.

modern beanie babies were printed so much that the supply was higher than the demand

Dude you have no idea what the market is like in CS now. Case hardened skins and kato 2014 holos are insane. To think in 2015 people traded these same skins and said “stickers have no value” LOL. Now they’re untouchable unless you’re a millionaire. Now crown foils, cologne 2014 holos are climbing like fire now. I checked some of my storage accounts and saw I had like 10 random stickers from the majors that I paid no more than $3 each for, now they actively sell for $200 CASH easily. Trading in CS convinced me to hold the course in pokemon.

Is there any relationship between the popularity or longevity of the game csgo and it’s after market skins and tradeables?

@pikachutcg IBP being banned was so crazy, same with KQLY’s ban and the howl becoming contraband. I actually remember in the early days of the howl change, I convinced my friend to trade his crappy karambit stained BS for a nice mw howl(he still appreciates that I gave him that advice hehe.) Also, that is such a nice blue gem. I was lucky to own an ak and a five seven blue gem, but a karambit is absolutely nuts
I’m glad the skins were able to help you and your family

@mitty Exactly, csgo has also reassured my position in pokemon. My first big investment in cs go was getting a truckload worth of Cloud9 dreamhack 14’ holos for 60-80 cents a piece (they’re $140 now damn)
Back in the day, I used to trade a decent bit but I was mostly a csgolounger(gambler) and I really debated between keeping my betting skins or getting rid of them and investing in $100 ibp kato 14’ holos. Really wish I went with the latter as my pokemon collection would have thoroughly enjoyed the additional funds :sob:

Haha yeah when i sold it was around £4,500 if i remember correctly, the knife i got after that was a Kara crimson web FN which was what i set out to get when i began. Also i cashed out via an online skin selling website.. can’t remember the name but they had the option of paying out in bitcoin which i didn’t choose but would have over 100K if i did now…I don’t like to think about it because i’ll never get anywhere close to that amount of money ever again :face_with_tongue:
