If it’s vs in the way of who wins in battle doesn’t Ray beat Deoxys majority of the time just based on lore ? Rays whole thing is to protect the ozone layer from anything I believe.
Rayquaza is just a big green snake with Trex arms that flies in the atmosphere and sometimes comes down to beat up a big fish and a big red mole thing.
Deoxys on the other hand is a space humanoid who can fly through space and give a beatdown to most creatures in the universe, it has several different forms and unlike other pokemon it doesn’t rely on magic stones to change it’s body, instead it has pure raw strength
Oh and Deoxy isn’t a huge guy, I imagine that deoxys is a pokemon that you could sit down with and have a drink

Maybe I’d like deoxys more if it wasn’t so hard to get in the games. Everyone used Rayquaza, but maybe 1% used deoxys

Just a reminder that in this fight Deoxys was getting its vision fried by the equipment on the ground and Rayquaza was still getting thrown around.
Rayquaza only wins because it plays dirty and ambushes Deoxys.

Theyre both top tier designs but deoxys is just so cool. The double helix motif, the multiple forms. It’s equally mysterious in its aura as it is menacing. I’ll never forgive them for not making a deoxys gold star.
