I have hard capped myself from purchasing in 2025, I think its been 4 weeks since I last bought a card? I plan on buying again in 2026 and want to ask the classic question of “What should I buy?”
These are the options I am looking at right now:
PSA 9 or 10 Chinese Mew ex
PSA 10 Scream Pikachu + Mimikyu (I alrdy have the others PSA 10)
1st Edition Neo Shining Double Holo Erros (I already collected all the unlims)
PSA 10 Mario Pikachu (I am still scarred from getting scammed on a resealed box, but its been 3 years and the wound is healing)
My vote is for nothing. Save the whole year and make 2027 the most epic troll ever by buying trophies every week while saying its your last trophy buy. #TrophyKing
Is there a reason you’re only going for really expensive stuff? Maybe look at more niche sets. Lots of unlimited Japanese cards from various sets that you can hunt. Still get that thrill and don’t have to spend nearly as much!
I already have a lot of what I want. Full vending in a binder, full JP vs and PSA 9 Karen’s umbreon. The only thing left I am looking out for are the higher end cards. I do want a beta chansey but that is up there as well hehe
Of these, the neo cards are the most difficult to find. The other modern cards will be available any time as long as you have the cash. They may also be the most prone to market volatility in the next 12 months.
Get both of those Scream promos because I can’t, my biggest regret not getting those on release cause I knew they were going to go down in price (spoiler, they didn’t).
I sold my 8.5 bgs rayquaza gold star without a second look, would do it again if I had another. I’ve owned every English gold star and would never own them again.
