What is this? & why are the graded ones (that don’t even seem legit) priced at over 150k? Did a bit of research & looks like they’re custom cards but then they got shut down, assuming Nintendo didn’t approve of it. Is this correct? Just so I got the story & facts straight. Thanks!
I havent followed it much but wrennymoo is an artist who has a following for their style. They released some packs of custom cards based on pokemon. Due to expectations of cease and desists, their release was a lowkey but went viral and now they tend to randomly drop on instagram and sell out quickly due to low print amounts. There are some versions and releases that are rare and i believe that is what you are seeing with some higher value cards rather than the cheap ones.

Roger that. If it’s not approved by Nintendo then I can’t touch it. (Unless I commission a custom card for myself, which I did lol). But how it’s even on eBay, legally, is also pretty dumb. Anyway. Thank you.
Custom cards are all over ebay so thats not an issue they care about if described correctly.
Personally they seem like a cross between the energy from metazoo stonkers and the yu nagaba unique art hype. 90% of the time its cringe but 10% i wouldnt mind if it was way way cheaper.
