What deck sleeves feature Pichu?

It’s Friday and Friday is a perfect day for me to go down an expensive rabbit hole.

With Pokémon Center Japan soon to be releasing a really awesome new deck sleeve design featuring a Pichu, I figured I should probably pick up some of the older ones before it’s too late. I’m so far aware of the following four designs:

  • April 2021 - Pokémon Fit

  • January 2021 - Pokémon Yurutto Lying Down

  • January 2020 - HOPPE DAISHUGO

  • March 2019 - Pretend Tea Party

  • July 2017 - Candy Pattern

I’m assuming that March 2019 wasn’t the first time Pichu featured on a deck sleeve. I’d assume the 2017 Ditto/Pichu cross-over also involved some deck sleeves and I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2002 Ken Sugimori Art Collection had sleeves associated with those pieces as well, which also include Pichu.

Do you know of any sleeves I’m missing which feature Pichu?

I’ve searched a bit, and was able to find one more:

According to the website I found them on, they’re from the Pokémon Center release of July 2017 during the Japanese Pattern campaign #2, whatever that is. They’re also still in stock by the looks of it.

It would be nice if there is a website featuring all sleeves. Some of the artworks on sleeves are pretty amazing tbh.

PS: I’ve also come across a couple of Pichu plushies; key-chains; and even a Pichu onesie pajamas when I was searching for the sleeves, if you decide to go any further into the rabbit hole.

Greetz,

@quuador nice, thank you! That one’s official name is simply “Candy Pattern”, so I’ve got no idea where PokeVault got that other name from - I guess they just made it up to make it sound more exciting?

As for the plushies and other merchandise… I’ll pass! Pichu has so much merch it’s hard to keep up.

Sleeve research coming up, oh boy.

Enjoy the hole. Sleeve art (as with PC merch) is so overlooked it hurts so this is a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos.

Nothing direct to contribute, but I really like the new sleeve/box designs they put out today. Even though there’s only four Gen II Pokémon, it’s rare that Gen I and II Pokémon get featured together like this. As someone who looks back most fondly to the “Game Boy Era” it’s nice to see some attention paid to that assortment of characters.
