Started collecting again a year ago after a trip to Japan and legendary collection aside, my main interest is in Japanese cards, specifically the starter 9 with the occasional cool card thrown in.
I’ll be framing these cards in the coming year when I think I’m done as I know I’m missing some obvious ones (venusaur topsun prism, wartortle & bulbasaur & charmander & blastoise LC reverse holos, dark charmeleon, dark blastoise, the remaining Challenge From The Darkness starters).
But what else do you think I should be adding to this that fits the quite loose theme of vintage cards with a bit of history? I know there are some modern in here but it’s really the old stuff I find most interesting as that was wanted as a kid and it’s the genesis of Pokémon.
I’m thinking the e-readers, maybe some corocoro, vending but not too sure.
I’ve also got the starter 9 base set Japanese already on the wall in PSA 8s and 9s. I’m not a fan of grading but I bought them like that, already framed.
Ignore the prices, some of these were negotiated for. All are really clean copies from LP to NM aside from the LC Charizard which is a surprisingly clean 5 (will be cracked).
All of the Topsun cards are blue backs.
I’ve got a load of pikachus too that’ll be added to the frame as I picked loads up with my wife when in Japan so I’m sure she’ll want to add some. Happy to have a frame of around 150 cards if it comes to that.
