Japanese cards are lame

You are correct. Japanese cards are lame. Collecting the English cards is much better. Everyone who considers to start a Japanese collection of PSA graded copies with a low pop count should immediately reverse their course of action. Japanese cards will never reach the western market on a significant scale. They don’t have the nostalgia factor. You can’t read them. Stay away from them. Please.

Expedition has actually the best selection of Pokemon for the holo cards and the best holo artworks on average out of the three WOTC e series sets. If it only had some Crystal types it would surely be just as, if not more popular than the other two.

(I love them all, but Expedition doesn’t deserve to be so neglected.)

If they would have let Masago do the Zard, it would have become the darkest, most cynical, most badass Zard ever. The Zard to end all Zards. Instead we got the dorkiest Zard of the WOTC era.
The fact that there are so many Masago artworks in Expedition is one big reason why I want to put it slightly above the other two e series sets.

Throwing everything in pokemon into the “giant market thread” is too messy, and not useful enough. It’s too hard to keep up with. I feel the rules regarding market discussion, and just lumping everything into one disorganized thread needs to be re-examined. Impossible to go back and forth when there are a million different things being discussed. It is too messy.
