Save money as much as possible so sometime in 2022, I can hopefully purchase the next 1st Edition PSA 10 holo for my collection, no idea which it will be.

I would like to find some sort of a foothold in the hobby in the next year. Anything WOTC, as well as EX, is completely out of reach for me at this point…so maybe I try to collect D&P, B&W, or Japanese instead. I’m starting from the bottom, so another angle I’m looking at is collecting super-modern simply to try and find some chase cards to fund my ability to add some older cards.
Long-term, the first generation is what I collected as a kid and the first three generations are what I’m nostalgic for from video games. So those are what I want to collect. But more short-term I will need to fill out some more recent generations to get to the point I can move into the vintage sets.

This next year is shaping up to be a big year for me. For pokemon my goals are:
Get a copy Of a Japanese Roseanne’s Research Promo. Graded or raw.
Get the last 2 Shining 1st edition Pokemon for my collection in PSA 9.
Finish a couple of my uncomplete sets I am almost done with.
I feel that is probably a pretty ambitious goal with all things considered.
2020 was huge for me.
Continuing the momentum gained during my trip to Japan, I purchased a lot of my “must have” cards I was first exposed to in those shops when I felt the rumblings of the market in early 2020. In other words, I got them while I could still afford them. This burst of activity also explains my partial hiatus in recent months.
Joining the forum, grading my first cards, and making a few substantial sales are personal highlights as well.
At this point, my 2021 goal is to simply formulate viable goals for the long-term while keeping it real in the short-term.

- Sell just enough to keep my better half happy regarding “cashflow”
- Continue building my Charizard collection
- Continue my kids excited about Pokemon and collecting

ID like to make one/two bigger purchases next year, either a big collection to sort through or something like a cheaper gold star or sealed product. Cant get enough of displaying stuff like that

Similar boat. The tough realization for me is I’m going to have to dedicate most of the year to pretty much standing in line at PSA
Hopefully with some luck, finish off these holes in my collection. I also want to gather the remaining sealed Meiji cards I need for my DP sealed promo set. And any other promos I can find for the mint/sealed for my DP-LEGEND era collection would be welcomed.
My main goal is to learn more new information and find new items I have yet to see. I have been collecting since 2014 and have been a member here since 2015 and yet there’s always so many new products and releases to discover especially in the world of sealed product. Exciting times ahead
