That’s sick! Always loved the Deerling/Sawsbuck cards too with the change in seasons between them. The Gloom is a really nice one too! I have one of each Ninetales & Vulpix from base set until now in English and have always loved the Illustration art it got back in Obsidian Flames and am hyped for the vulpix IR next set. Always been a big fan of the illustration rares that have the pokemon with their trainer as well so here’s a few favorites of those too!

Ogerpon has received some awesome quartet cards so this sounds like a wonderful idea, have you considerd a 12 pocket binder to display them? Would love to see the collection if you go for it, welcome to the forum!

Thank you, I’m excited to be here! Hmmm, the meta decks drive me insane haha but mainly because a lot of people have been using them in our casual/for fun leagues locally, but they’re also still really cool nonetheless. I use a Ninetales/Flareon deck I built that’s been a blast to use and my GF built a meowscarada deck a while back and has been adding to it over so time. We’ve really enjoyed buying precons and building them in our own way for fun!

Thank you! And you do too! Forgot to mention these as well but I’m obsessed with the eevee evolutions too! Always loved the Yu Nagaba series and how derpy they look lol. Hoping to one day finish the SIR eevee evolutions in English but their prices say otherwise

Thank you, and you’re asking the tough questions now, haha! I know Suicune is contentiously a “dog,” which would probably be my first choice. However, for true canid Pokemon, I’d pick Arcanine (though ninetales, and the houndour line is close)! Is ninetales your undisputed favorite, or do you have some close second(s)?

Haha it’s a question I get often so I definitely know how hard it is to choose between them all. Those are awesome choices though! For me it switches every now and then but ninetales is usually top 3 always. I usually break it out by gen:
Gen 1: Ninetales but arcanine is awesome too
Gen 2: houndour/houndoom, also see suicune as a dog too despite the contention (I’ve had too many debates about it with friends haha) and have always loved it
Gen 3: mightyena
Gen 4: lucario
Gen 5: zorua/zoroark
Gen 6: the fennekin line
Gen 7: rockruff/all 3 lycanrocs
Gen 8: nickit/thievul along with zacian and zamazenta
Gen 9: probably dachsbun
So pretty much almost all of the doggos and foxxos. And of course eevee and all of its evolutions

Thank you! I have put way too much thought into favorites from each gen, but there’s too many to pick just one We really have been blessed with some awesome designs over the years though. Hoping they continue that streak in the future generations!

Honestly I’ve enjoyed pretty much every version of Dialga VSTAR deck that was semi-relevant,haha. Not too many new decks jump out at the moment!

Oh nice, that’s a solid choice! I do recall that deck and it was fun to play. A few people still use it and the Palkia one at our local causal league days. Dialga Vstar had some really nice artwork as well from what I remember

Why do you guys call Ninetales a dog? Is it a broader category and whould you consider Liepard, Eeveelutions or Persian as dogs also for example?

Mainly since foxes are grouped into the canidae family. Same for the eevee evolutions. I see them as foxes for the most part but I know others see them as cats. Liepard and Persian I definitely say are cats though so that’s kinda my reasoning on it. My mind always goes straight to some sort of doggo whenever seeing canine too haha
