I just bought a vintage Ex unseen forces booster and noticed some small dots on the booster print.
Also has no punctures on the back, at least it seems like.
And small imperfection on the back print.
It doesn’t seem like a fake booster (at least i hope so) but i’ve got to say i never saw dots like those on any booster packs before, has anyone seen this before ? it makes me question my purchase even though i bought it from a “big” seller on cardmarket.
If anyone can explain the dots, no punctures and miss print
I am not an expert and I am sure someone will chime in, but are the dots like very tiny holes (referring to your front pic)? If yes, then it should be very common and they do it to make sure that there is no air trapped inside the packs and they dont burst during handling and shipments of booster boxes since the packs are stacked. The downside it the packs can be more suseptible to damage where these perforations are, but it is standard process.
To me the pack looks legit but you can only ensure that with the opening.
The dots aren’t holes (on the front) it looks more like it’s smudged ink and it’s a bit all over the front though not very noticeable. As for the holes that should be there to make sure there’s no air inside so they don’t burst, there seems to be none on the booster and that ticks my curiosity a bit because i’m used to see some on the back usually.
Thanks for your opinion on the authenticity. I do also think it’s legit but it’s just a bit odd. The seller told me he found it in a store held by an old lady that kept two packs in a box somewhere alongside other stuff she wasn’t selling anymore.
