Hello! It’s me again, Kob, completing TCG Collector’s database a post at a time.
Today I come with something that I noticed today and couldn’t find much information online regarding these (I’m not responsible for poor googling skills). It’s regarding the Victory Symbol promos.
I noticed there were multiple images of each year and tier available and noticed the small colored text in the bottom of the Champions League logo differed a bit between them, more specifically the characters before the number. The characters repeat between each tier (bronze, silver & gold). Also weird that the different images aren’t consistent between each year.
I’ll leave some pics here so you can check the differences. Would appreciate any help!
Hi there, the alteration in the text at the bottom tells you the position of the card winner in the champions league, i.e 3rd place, 2nd place and ‘‘Champion’’. The other distinction in that line of text is the location one would assume the tournament was held, and these seem to be prefectures and cities. For instance I can see Aichi prefecture, Nigata prefecture, Miyagi prefecture, Sapporo city, Fukoka (prefecture or city), Kyoto (prefecture or city), Yokohama city, Tokyo city and finally, Osaka (Prefecture or city).
Sure, 愛知 Aichi prefecture, 新潟 Nigata prefecture, 宮城 Miyagi prefecture, 札幌 Sapporo city, 福岡 Fukoka (prefecture or city), 京都 Kyoto (prefecture or city), 横浜 Yokohama city, 東京 Tokyo city and finally, 大阪 Osaka (Prefecture or city)
I’ll leave this here as an addon @lasbrisas provided in the Discord discussion! I’m very grateful, thank you so much for your help!
