Value of Ungraded 1st Edition Base Set (Complete)

Hey everyone!
This isn’t just another “how much is x card worth?” thread. I’m curious what you think that market value of an ungraded light play 1st edition base set complete set is worth (Charizard grade probably 5 or 6).

There hasn’t been a public sale of this (at least that I can find) for a long time now. If marketed properly with nice pictures etc. what do you think it would fetch for in an auction?

I’m considering $1500 for 15 holos, $1000 charizard, $2 per non-holo common, $5 per uncommon, $10-25 for rares. Then of course starters and Pikachu are going to fetch $5-20 each. Since we are talking LP PSA 5-6 condition, $3000 is probably even pushing it, although if truly a PSA 6 charizard then better estimate is probably closer to $3500 as @jcincy101 said.

$3k seems like a fair number to me. It’s a little high, but I wouldn’t want any less for a complete set. Definitely in the $2500-3500 range for sure.

Yeah was honestly thinking around $3K initally as well, but bumped it up about 10% for the “complete set” premium.

Over 3000.00 for a played set? I’d say pass.
