Value of Rare Misprint Uncut Sheet

Parents shipped it out on Monday, with delivery expected Thursday (yesterday). Package has not arrived.

Tracking went cold on Wednesday morning. I’ve never lost a package in my life, and this is easily the most valuable I’ve ever had in transit. Sure hope this isn’t Leonhart’s Charizard 2.0… :slightly_frowning_face:

USPS is solidly several days behind a massive amount of mail, I wouldn’t worry.

I suspect they are, but it’s the silence on tracking that has me concerned. Even with all the delays, this (of course) is the first package I’ve had delayed. I’ll keep holding my breath.

I wouldn’t worry, I just had a card delivered that went 14 full days from last scan to delivery. From FL to Boston.

With no updates until the day it was delivered

Yeah considering you sold that seemingly much MUCH more desirable shadowless print sheet for around 25k…yeah 25k for this would’ve jumped on

Misprints are their own entire niche category. Dedicated misprint collectors will be into this, and I’ve had other big offers.

But like I keep saying, I don’t even have the sheet in my possession yet. I couldn’t have jumped on his offer before he retracted it.

Uncut sheets are very niche too

Man I’ve been shilling my cards all wrong. This is the way to go

Ouch 25k was more than fair

Did this ever get resolved? Did the sheet arrive?
Going to echo what others have said – exceedingly rare items are exceedingly hard to value. Your best bet would either be taking the very high private offer or going to a proper auction house. Part of the benefit of AHs is that they offer a visibility boost to a specific subset of collectors who are both more cash flush and also more likely to be interested in peculiar/rare items.

Thanks for checking in. Yes, the sheet did arrive after a few weeks of silence. I’ve had trouble finding an auction house that will help sell it. PWC, for example, will only sell graded and authenticated items for the time being. They flat refused the sheet.

Still trying to determine the best path forward.

Gary’s your best bet

Probably so, but he pulled the offer. So, on to Plan B, which doesn’t exist yet.

Have you posted to the Facebook Pokemon Errors & Misprint group?

I did about the same time I posted here. Got a TON of interest and a few folks offering $15,000… but you never know if any of that’s real. When the offer came from Gary, I didn’t have to doubt it was at least from a legit source.
